Today the sun was black and the moon was red.

What does patriotic dialog mean if we are fortunate enough to be living in a certain place different from where we were born? I think it is licit for an individual to feel unconfortable with the images or culture of his or her society. But with this I don´t mean to despise his own fellow countrymen for an accent, some words of daily idiosyncratic use, or just an inferiority complex. Under what circunstances does the supposed existential misery of other persons make one feel "more elevated"? Does anybody know if any word for a person like this exists?
